caught in warm sunlight
I walk through the park after a long morning indoors, letting my breath slow as the air moves around me. Beneath the trees, sunlight slips through the leaves and draws my attention, warm and steady, enough to make me stop. I lift my head and stand there, feeling the warmth spread across my cheeks, noticing the smell of grass and the quiet hum nearby.
For a moment, nothing else asks for me. This ordinary pause feels complete, a small gift held inside the day.
